Katia Rhapsody Art

My work is inspired by my dreams and how they blend into reality. An exploration subconscious places and waking life, the bridges in-between. As a child I would lucid dream frequently, a skill I've maintained and utilized much like an oracle. In recent years, my painting process has lived in that space.  Each morning on a 4"x 6" piece of canvas paper, immediately upon waking I paint a scene, drawing out the threads of dream space. Each piece hangs on a clothesline strung across the room, depicting a film-reel like display of my own unseen psychic space. I paint with many different mediums; oil, gouache, acrylic, watercolor and love to work at any scale.
